What Makes Blue Plate® Mayonnaise
So Rich and Creamy?

Our simple recipe of oil, vinegar, and only the egg yolks.

Since 1927, we’ve made our Real Mayonnaise from a simple, time-honored recipe of oil, vinegar and only the egg yolks, making it extra rich and creamy. Our commitment to this recipe gives our mayonnaise its full, balanced flavor and delightful, creamy texture that makes good food taste great.

Not to brag…
but we were featured in the Cook’s Illustrated Mayonnaise Taste Test.

Here at Blue Plate, we’ve been cooking up quality since 1927. While our fans have known about us for years, we were honored to have earned our rightful place in mayonnaise history in 2012 when we were featured in the Cook’s Illustrated and America’s Test Kitchen Mayonnaise taste tests.

Taste testers said it was a “great balance of taste and texture” and called it a “solid, straight-up mayo” that’s “a close second to homemade.” It turns out that starting with egg yolks, and adding just a few, simple ingredients, is the secret to an extra rich and creamy mayonnaise.
